Shipping policy

At KCA, we believe the journey of your bespoke woodwork from our artisan workshop to your home should be handled with the same precision and care as its creation. Due to the premium nature and substantial scale of our custom hoods and accessories, we have established a specialized delivery protocol to ensure your pieces arrive flawlessly.

Craftsmanship & Production Lead Times

Every KCA product is a testament to meticulous woodworking. Before your order embarks on its journey, please allow the following timeframes for our artisans to shape, assemble, and perfect your piece:

  • Standard Bespoke Manufacturing: 20–24 business days.

  • Priority Craftsmanship (Rush Option): Expedited production completed in approximately 15 business days.

  • Curated In-Stock Collection (Warehouse Sale): Pre-crafted inventory is carefully packaged and shipped from our facility within 2 business days.

Transit Times

Once your piece leaves our workshop, please allow up to 7 business days for actual freight transit, depending on your exact location within the United States.

Specialized Freight Delivery (LTL)

To guarantee the safety of our large-scale range hoods, all residential shipments are entrusted to specialized LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight carriers rather than standard parcel services (such as UPS or FedEx).

  • The Scheduling Process: Seamless delivery requires coordination. Our freight partner will contact you by phone one day prior to delivery to schedule a dedicated appointment window. Please note: It is absolutely essential to schedule this appointment; your item cannot be dispatched for final delivery without a confirmed time.

  • Curbside Handover: Our deliveries are strictly curbside. To protect the integrity of both your new woodwork and your property, freight drivers are not authorized to bring items inside your residence. We highly recommend arranging for assistance or consulting your contractor to transition the crated piece safely into your home or garage.

Receiving & Inspection Protocol

Your satisfaction is our ultimate priority. Upon the arrival of your KCA delivery, we kindly request that you follow this essential inspection protocol:

  1. Examine the Exterior: Carefully inspect the outer packaging and crating for any visible signs of transit distress.

  2. Document on the Bill of Lading: If you notice any damage (even minor box abrasions), you must note it explicitly on the driver’s Bill of Lading before signing.

  3. Safe Transfer: Once signed for, move the item to a secure, climate-controlled location until you or your professional team are ready for installation. Documenting transit damage on the Bill of Lading is required for us to swiftly craft and expedite a complimentary replacement for you.
